Richard Dixon

john goh

Richard Dixon was born in 1966 in Grimsby and holds a PhD and degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Hull. Having spent many years in the field of Health Informatics he currently works in traffic-related software design. Although having had an interest in writing and horror in particular since school, it is only recently, after a number of competition successes, that Richard has added short-story writing to his range of hobbies which also includes cryptic crosswords and railways. Richard is currently helping to recreate a part of history as a director at the Yorkshire Wolds Railway in East Yorkshire.

Richard's short horror was shortlisted in our 2016 horror competition and he was an invited contributor to the Dreaming of Steam anthology that emerged from our Fantastic Yorkshire Wolds Railway competition.
