The anthology was launched at FantastiCon 2019
Firstly, thank you to everybody who entered. We had an incredibly diverse entry for this competition both in terms of the subject matter and the demographic of the entrants. It was a truly international entry.
Our grand prize of £100 goes to 'Car Park Girl' by Josephine Greenland
Our second prize of £50 goes to 'The Beholder' by Lauren Everdell
Our third prize of £25 goes to 'A Head For Heights' by Shirley Golden

The best of the entry is published in our female fables anthology alongside invited contributions from professional writers. The anthology sales give a charitable donation to the Global Fund for Women who do sterling work around the globe fighting for women’s rights.

We were looking for stories featuring the power and energy of womankind in all its myriad forms. The topic was 'female strength'. We were delighted to receive a very strong international entry for this one. The judges did not have an easy time. Congratulations to those who have made the long and shortlist.
