Captain Theo and the Nasty Pirate - Paperback

James Flynn’s story of Captain Theo is an adventure on the high seas and also the story of a journey through cancer. Theo’s mission is to brave stormy seas to remove the nasty Luke from the storm-damaged Blood Vessel and bring it safely in for repair to Port A-Cath, which is the name of the intravenous line through which a cancer patient receives their chemotherapy. James Flynn had the idea for Captain Theo after his nephew was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. This book is one of the ways he helps the children’s cancer unit of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, where his nephew was treated.
