Set during the winter of 1914, Scotcher’s The Boy in Winter’s Grasp follows the story of Christopher Flyte, a young boy expelled from school and sent back to his small, English hometown of Alton. The shame of being sent home weighs heavy on Christopher’s shoulders, but he finds solace in the tales of the strange traveller, Bailey. The stories Bailey tells him are fantastical myths about King Arthur, filled with magic and adventures, but the more Christopher listens, the more he suspects they’re not just myths.
Caught between fantasy and reality, Christopher finds himself at the mercy of forces greater than he ever anticipated. Once a shy young man, living in the shadow of his brother, now he must become the hero of his own story if he wants to survive the dangers ahead of him.
