Alan Paine
Alan Paine won the Julia Bradbury prize for the Spirit of the Wolds for the story that appears in the anthology Dreaming of Steam. His also has a short story in our fantastic female fables anthology, The Dummies’ Guide to Serial Killing. Away from his work as a chemical engineer in the edible oil industry Alan enjoys writing, painting and making music. He also acts and writes sketches with his local amateur theatre group. He lives in Dartford, Kent with his wife Jane and they have three children and three grandchildren.
